Aaron Rodgers Takes Shot at Russell Wilson: ‘I Think God Was A Packer Fan Tonight’

In his post-game interview after defeating the Seattle Seahawks during Sunday Night Football 27-17, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers took quite a shot at Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson, telling reporters, “And then getting help from God. I think God was a Packers fan tonight, so he was taking care of us.”

Wilson, who is very open about his faith, chalked up his team’s victory over the Packers in last season’s NFC Championship game to God by saying, “That’s God setting it up, to make it so dramatic, so rewarding, so special.”

Two days after losing to Wilson in the NFC Championship, Rodgers told ESPN Wisconsin, “”I don’t think God cares a whole lot about the outcome. He cares about the people involved, but I don’t think he’s a big football fan.”
