NFL commissioner Roger Goodell elected to not attend the opening game of the 2015-2016 NFL season on Thursday between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers, saying he “believes the focus should be on the game on the field and the festivities celebrating the Patriots’ Super Bowl championship.”
Patriots fans, already upset with Goodell for the “Deflate-gate” debacle, took offense to Goodell being a no-show and chanted “where is Roger” during a stoppage in the game in the fourth quarter.
