Heilemann: If Trump Can Lead GOP Race, 'No Reason Why' Kanye West Can't Lead Democratic Race

John Heilemann of Bloomberg Politics reacted Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to rapper Kanye West announcing his plans during Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards for a presidential run in 2020, comparing his run to Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

“If Donald Trump can be the Republican front-runner in the summer of 2015, there’s no reason why Kanye West can’t be the Democratic front-runner in the summer of 2019.”
