Thursday at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on the details of the nuclear agreement with Iran, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) defended Secretary of State John Kerry from the criticisms of Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) and Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID).
Boxer said, “I support the right of my colleagues to say anything they want, but you’ve sat there and you’ve heard two of my colleagues go after you with words that I’m going to repeat. You were fleeced, one said. The other said you’ve been bamboozled. So putting aside the fact I think that’s disrespectful and insulting, that’s their right to do. There are other ways to express your disagreement. But that goes to your core as a human being and your intelligence. And I think you’re highly intelligent.”
