On Thursday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Ann Coulter, author of “Adios, America: The Left’s Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole,” faced off against network regular Geraldo Rivera in a rematch from last week over U.S. immigration policy.
Coulter reacted to Rivera’s claim that illegal immigrants were being unfairly blamed as a root cause of crime. According to Coulter, immigrants should be no part of U.S. crime statistics and the interest of native-born Americans should be put first.
She went on to say Rivera was making her argument out to be an anti-Hispanic one.
“Look, you’re talking about a correlation, not a causation,” she said. “You’re not that stupid, Geraldo. Yeah, crime goes down for a lot of reasons … We want our immigrants to have crime rates lower than our most criminal population. And you’ve got to stop talking about this as if we’re talking about Americans attacking Hispanics. No, we are talking about immigrants.”
