Wednesday on “The John Gambling Show,” Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said President Barack Obama’s hostage policy change that essentially allows family members to engage in communications with terrorists, leading potentially to ransom payments without fear of U.S. prosecution “puts more people at risk.”
King said, “He wouldn’t even have to announce that publicly. Just tell them privately, ‘Listen we know what we did. We don’t support you. We are not going to prosecute you.’ To announce it is—wow.”
When host John Gambling interjected “It’s insanity,” King agreed, saying, “I think it is. I see no purpose for it other than maybe his own political purposes. Or somehow this idea he wants to show he is more humanitarian than George Bush was.”
