State Dept Spox: Iran Parliament ‘Death to America’ Chants ‘Not Helpful’

Monday at the State Department press briefing, when asked by Associated Press reporter Matt Lee, spokesman John Kirby said that the Iranian Parliament’s chants of “death to America” as they voted to ban any inspectors’ access to military sites as part of any nuclear agreement are “not helpful.”

“These are chants we have heard before from Iran,” Kirby said. “It is certainly not helpful, but is it going to have a major impact on the negotiating teams in Vienna? No.”
