Black Chicago Pastor: Democrats Have ‘Failed Us’

On Fox News Channel’s “On the Record With Greta Van Susteren” on Friday, Pastor Corey Brooks, who has been inviting all the Republican presidential candidates to speak to his congregation in Chicago, said African-Americans “have been very loyal to the Democrats, but in return, they have not been loyal to us.”

Brooks said, “Well, you know, as you look around the country—inner cities across America, you can see the failing policies of the Democrats. Our communities are some of the worst in the country. Failing schools, infrastructure is bad, abandoned homes. It’s crime everywhere. And most of the major cities—in the inner cities across America—they are run by Democrats. So, I’m continuing to say we have been very loyal to the Democrats, but in return, they have not been loyal to us.”
