NPR National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson declared “we’re looking at a nuclear arms race in the Middle East” on Thursday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel.
Liasson stated, “Right now, Iran is a couple of months away from a bomb. That’s enough to send the other Gulf states looking for a bomb of their own. If Iran gets a lot more money, and in 10 years can proceed to make one, I think the outcome is the same. I think we’re looking at a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.”
She added, “I don’t know what he [Obama] can do other than really promise them real military protection, or the kind of arms they want to make them feel more comfortable.”
