In a Thursday appearance on ESPN Radio’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” simultcasted on ESPNU, NFL Hall of Famer and Fox Sports NFL analyst Howie Long shared his thoughts on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension and upcoming appeal.
Cowherd asked Long if he thinks Brady will end up winning the appeal of his four-game suspension, which he was found “more probable than not” to be aware of the deflation of game-used footballs. Long stated that he does think Brady will end up winning his appeal, but he was not sure exactly how many games it would be reduced.
“Based on what I’m reading, yeah, I think he does. Now, in what shape and form that is? Is it two games? Is it one game? Is it three games? I don’t know and to try to predict, that’s the other problem, to try to make a prediction on how the league doles out penalties.”
