The “Weekend Update” segment on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” made fun of former Ravens player Ray Lewis for his comments about Baltimore.

Co-host Colin Jost stated, “former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis spoke out against the violence in Baltimore, saying ‘violence is not the answer.’ Unless of course the question is ‘what made Ray Lewis super-rich?'” He added that closing one of the Orioles’ games to the public was probably a smart move since it was “Cal Ripken Molotov Cocktail Day.”

Earlier, fellow co-host Michael Che described the charges filed against six officers in Freddie Gray’s death were a “vital, important first step on the path to those officers probably being acquitted.” And saying that while there was “violent rioting,” since no deaths were reported, “the riots were still far less dangerous than the backseat of a Baltimore police van.”
