On Monday’s “Pardon the Interruption” on ESPN, co-host Mike Wilbon reacted to quarterback Tim Tebow signing a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Out of the league since 2012, Tebow looks to show off his new mechanics after working with a quarterback coach.
Wilbon stated that there is something sinister about Tebow not being on a roster at this point in his career and that some current second-string quarterbacks are not worthy of carrying Tebow’s jock-strap.
“To me it was a joke, it was a travesty and it was something sinister about Tim Tebow not being on a NFL roster. When I look around at some of the second-string people who are playing in the NFL and, to me, they can’t carry Tim Tebow’s jock. I didn’t understand it. I think there’s literally something sinister about it.”
