On Friday’s “The Five” on Fox News, co-host Dana Perino and the panel discussed the video of ESPN’s Britt McHenry verbally assaulting a tow company employee that surfaced on Thursday. McHenry has since received a one week suspension and apologized but Perino disagreed with the suspension.
While the other hosts on the show were baffled by McHenry’s behavior, Perino was surprised by this decision because McHenry was not on the clock at the time this took place.
“I’m surprised at ESPN’s decision, actually, because he wasn’t on the clock. She wasn’t working for them. I realize that you do represent whoever you’re working for and I hope that I would never be caught in that situation but I am sort of kind of surprised that they suspended her. It really had nothing to do with ESPN.”
