During Wednesday’s game between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks, ESPN analyst and former NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy discussed The Masters coverage with fellow broadcasters Mike Breen and Mark Jackson. Van Gundy used this as an opportunity to bring up past admission practices at Augusta National.
“Oh, like they didn’t allow black people and women in there? Like something like that? Yeah, I’m glad we’re quiet about that.”
He later added, “Would I have been wrong, maybe pointing that out?”
