Thursday at his weekly press briefing, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said President Barack Obama is an “anti-war president” who is allowing Yemen to fall into a proxy war of Islam in the Middle East between Iranian backed Shia forces and Sunni Saudi Arabia with Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in the middle.
Boehner said. “The world is starving for American leadership, but America has an anti-war president. We have no strategy, overarching strategy, to deal with a growing terrorist threat, and it’s not just ISIS or al-Qaida and all of their affiliates. We got a serious problem facing the world and America, by and large, is sitting on the sidelines. I applaud the Saudis for taking this action to protect their homeland in their own neighborhood.”
“If America leads, our allies would be tickled to death and be happy to join our coalition,” he added.
