Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said President Barack Obama needs to get over his “temper tantrum” referring to the White House repeatedly saying they need to “reassess” the U.S.-Israel relationship based solely on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s Election Day statement saying he did not think there would be a Palestinian state during his tenure.
McCain said, “Get over your temper tantrum Mr. President. It’s time that we work together with are Israel with friends and try to stem this tide of ISIS and Iranian movement throughout the region which is threatening the very fabric of the region. The least of your problems is what Bibi Netanyahu said during an election campaign. If every politician who were held to everything they said during a political campaign obviously that would be a topic of long discussion.”
He added, “Bibi’s rhetoric concerning an election campaign pales in comparison as to the direct threat to the Untied States of America of ISIS. The president has his priorities screwed up it’s unbelievable.”
