On Monday’s “Around the Horn” on ESPN, guest Bomani Jones commented on the report that the Philadelphia Eagles held a workout for free agent quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow, who has not been in the NFL since being cut by the New England Patriots in 2013, is still in search of a quarterback gig in the NFL after many NFL scouts and analysts have said he would be more likely to find a job in the NFL with a position change.
Jones says that bringing in Tebow is a “ridiculous and a foolish idea.”
“You guys have been calling Chip Kelly a genius, and I can halfway understand you. He does a lot of things we don’t quite understand. That’s why we’re giving him the benefit of the doubt a little bit on the stuff he’s doing that we don’t understand. But dude, they brought Tim Tebow in to workout. Now look, man, you can be as smart as you want to be, but we know what’s going on right there and that is a ridiculous and a foolish idea. Like if there’s anything that you see from Tim Tebow on the field that makes you say that now you want to do something with him and you can make it happen, you, sir, are crazy! But he does a good job with us. I think he’s a great broadcaster.”
