Early Thursday morning, multiple outlets and sources on social media reported two police officers were shot outside the Ferguson, MO police headquarters around midnight local time.
According to USA Today, the shooting has been confirmed by acting Ferguson police chief Lt. Col. Al Eickhoff.
The incident comes on the heels of the announcement of the former Ferguson police chief, Thomas Jackson stepping down.
