Business magnate Warren Buffett said that the president decided to “to kind of thumb our nose” at Canada by vetoing the Keystone XL pipeline on Monday’s “Squawk Box” on CNBC.
Buffett argued, “I would have passed Keystone. I think that we have a[n] enormous interest in working with Canada, as they have and working with us. That oil is going to get sold, if we make it more difficult for them, who knows how they’ll feel about making things more difficult for us someday. But, that is a valuable resource of North America, and Canada has been a terrific partner over the decades, and for us to kind of thumb our nose at them, you know, not what I would do.”
