Earlier in the day it was revealed that former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg made an effort to suppress audio of remarks he had made on Feb. 6 regarding gun control and minorities at the Aspen Institute. That request from Bloomberg was honored by the Aspen Institute and GrassRoots TV, the company that filmed the event.
Audio, however, has surfaced of Bloomberg’s remarks, in which he seemingly advocates targeted gun control for minorities.
“It’s controversial, but first thing is all of your — 95 percent of your murders, and murderers, and murder victims fit one [unintelligible],” Bloomberg said. “You can just take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all of the cops. They are male, minorities, 15 to 25. That’s true in New York, it’s true in virtually every city in America,” he continued.
“You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of the people getting killed,” he added.
