Friday on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe,” while discussing a new poll showing 66 percent of Americans now support troops on the ground in the fight against ISIS, “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd said Americans are convinced of the seriousness of the ISIS threat, but they also do not have confidence President Barack Obama has a strategy to defeat them.
Todd said, “They have been convinced of the threat right now. And yet the more you dig into this you just also showed they’re convinced, ready to do this. They don’t have a lot of confidence that President Obama has a strategy. And they also say he’s going to be remembered, more people say he’s going to be remembered for starting a war than ending a war. I’m sure that’s not something the president will enjoy having on his legacy monitor.”
