Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh criticized President Obama for his comments on the “balkanization” of the media on Monday.
“I thought these people all loved diversity. They preach diversity all the time” he declared, pointing to the Grammys touting diversity. Rush then concluded “anyway, they don’t want any diversity in the news. They don’t want any diversity. Hillary and Obama, they think Al Jazeera is great. They got a problem with the EIB Network, and with Fox News.”
During a conversation with Vox released on Monday, Obama put part of the blame for polling data showing him to be the most polarizing president since such polling began on “the balkanization of the media,” which he argued “means that we just don’t have a common place where we get common facts and a common worldview the way we did 20, 30 years ago. And that just keeps on accelerating, you know. And I’m not the first to observe this, but you’ve got the Fox News/Rush Limbaugh folks and then you’ve got the MSNBC folks.”
