Thursday at the White House daily press briefing, when questioned by ABC News’ chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl, press secretary Josh Earnest stood behind yesterday’s refusal to call the Taliban terrorists, saying the Taliban “engages in tactics akin to terrorism.”
When NPR’s Mara Liasson asked if the attack on a school in Pakistan was a terrorist attack, Earnest said yes, but that was the Pakistani Taliban, which is classified as a terrorist group.
