Feinstein: ‘Rapid Pull Out’ in Afghanistan Will Cause Al Qaeda Resurgence

Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) , Feinstein said she is one democrate who does not support a “rapid pull out of american troops.” from Afghanistan because it will cause the Taliban and al Qaeda to “come back.”

Feinstein said, “I think the Taliban is going to try to come back and it looks like al Qaeda in Pakistan is now trying to come back into Afghanistan. I’m not, I’ll be very candid, I’m one of the democrats that doesn’t see a rapid pull out of American troops as being beneficial. Now the president has added some troops to the 9,000, I guess up to around 10,o00 remaining, I think that is good. But I think they have to be very cognizant of A, the Taliban and B, al Qaeda coming back.”
