Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) discussed Republican senators introducing a “time out” today in the form of new legislation to block President Barack Obama from releasing any more terrorists from Guantanamo Bay.
Barrasso said, “The bottom line is we need to call a time-out on what the president wants to do with these releases from Guantanamo Bay. The problem is that the president has actually been quickening the releases to the point where 15 were released in December alone. Very little surveillance. Really there is not the chance and the opportunity to make sure they don’t go back into the fight. We now have over 100 who have been confirmed into the fight against us.”
