Brooks: Ann Coulter, Charlie Hebdo at the ‘Kiddie Table’

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” New York Times columnist David Brooks said people like conservative author Ann Coulter and French satirical weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo sit at the “kiddie table” of the world’s culture conversation.

Brooks said,”Let the clowns among us say what clowns do. You never do that with law.  You never do it with speech codes. You don’t dis-invite speakers. You allow them to talk. But you have distinctions. So there is some people, like frankly this show, we are at the adult table of the conversation and some people like Ann Coulter they are at the kiddie table  Charlie Hebdo that is the kiddie table. Let the kiddie table have the kiddie table because sometimes they will say things those of us at the adult table need to hear. Don’t crack down.”
