President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama had a high-ticket meal on the first day of 2015 with an exclusive dining experience at the Vintage Cave restaurant in Honolulu, which features extravagant, multi-course tasting menus priced at $295 per person.
According to multiple reports, the president didn’t buy a $500,000 membership offered by the restaurant, but did enjoy the chef’s menu.
Honolulu Magazine estimates that a typical dining experience for two at the Vintage Cave “with wine, will approach $1,000.”
