Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) hung up on WGSO’s “Ringside Politics” host Jeff Crouere on Friday after a contentious interview.
After Landrieu was asked about voter fraud claims made by Republican State Senator Elbert Guillory, she responded “Elbert Guillory is a fraud himself, and he’s a fraud on his face. And it is such an insult for you and your listeners to claim that black people in this state, or African-Americans cannot cast votes honestly.” When Crouere pointed out that he was not making a claim about voter fraud, but merely asking about Guillory’s claim, Landrieu informed him that he was “repeating it because it makes you just such a happy person” before signing off.
Earlier, Landrieu admitted that she voted for Obamacare even though she knew there were problems with it, and got into a debate with Crouere about whether Obamacare was the president’s signature legislation, during which she asked Crouere where he went to high school.
