Flashback — MSNBC 2010: Gruber Secretly Paid to Write All ObamaCare Numbers

In stark contradiction to last weeks claims by President Barack Obama that MIT professor Jonathan Gruber was just “some adviser,” back in January 2010 it was breaking news on MSNBC that MIT economist Jonathan Gruber was the paid point man who wrote all the  numbers for Affordable  Care Act.

According to Jane Hamsher’s progressive site Firedoglake, the president and Democrats were quoting Gruber’s analysts of the Affordable Care Act as the gold standard, they were not disclosing  that Gruber was being by paid by the White House because she explained “the administration is working off Grubber’s numbers.”

Gruber was exposed as the payed point man because of his support of taxing so called “cadillac,” health plans which angered the left’s top ally, which were labor unions that had fought for years to get the very generous health benefits for their members.
