Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) admitted that “we all knew” that President Obama’s claim that individuals would be allowed to keep their plans if they liked them under the Affordable Care Act was untrue in an interview on the November 17, 2013 broadcast of ABC’s “This Week.”

When asked whether she thought the president misled the public by promising that people who liked their plans could keep them, she said, “he should’ve just been more specific. Because the point is, if you’re being offered a terrible health care plan, that the minute you get sick you’re going to have to go into bankruptcy, those plans should never be offered.”

After anchor Martha Raddatz followed up about Gillibrand felt the president had deceived her and voters she stated “he should’ve just been specific. No, we all knew.”
