Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The Reid Report,” President Barack Obama’s longtime political adviser Valerie Jarrett used charges of sexism to deflect recent reports that have questioned the amount of influence she has over the president and charged she acts more like like a crime boss’ consigliere with an enemies list than an adviser.
Jarrett said, “I would say when you break glass ceilings you’ll get a minor chard or two from the glass.”
Referencing women’s suffrage and Lilly Ledbetter Jarrett declared, “If I take a bump or bruise along the way, that’s nothing compared to the sacrifices the woman whose shoulders I stand upon made along the way.”
