CNN’s “The Lead” anchor Jake Tapper said that he believes President Obama believes he has “the only logical and reasonable position” on Ebola in an interview on Thursday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”

“I honestly think President Obama is one of these guys who thinks that he has the only logical and reasonable position on this [Ebola]” Tapper stated.

Even though Tapper argued that the medical community agrees with President Obama’s position against quarantines for doctors, he added there was a disconnect “disconnect” between the healthcare community and the public because the healthcare community failed to understand that “what people are scared about is that the initial response by the healthcare community was not enough.”

On the politics of the response to Ebola, Tapper reported that “the public is with the governors doing the quarantine policies.” And “if you look at the quarantine policies, state-by-state, I believe, last time I looked, it was more Democratic governors than Republican governors.”
