Sunday on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” Politico editor Susan Glasser said the White House’s leak to The New York Times that President Barack Obama was seething about the Ebola response was evidence that the White House is very worried.
Glasser said, “Well, there is a long history, I think, of the president being angry not just this president but any president that is the story that you see when you are worried that the narrative is getting away from you. And I think they are very eager right before that midterm election and let’s be honest, the political timing here is affecting what you are seeing in terms of Washington’s response so the White House is very eager to make sure it does not play into an existing narrative around government competence and our lack of faith in government institutions. It might be.”
