Talk radio host Laura Ingraham slammed the federal government’s “irresponsible” response to the Ebola virus and asked whether Americans had to die before the federal government took steps like securing the border and barring flights from Ebola-afflicted areas on Thursday.
“We order our troops to Liberia…but we don’t order our border shut, we don’t order air transit stopped into this country, and that is an abomination, and it is irresponsible, that’s the best thing I can say about it” she said.
Ingraham then wondered “how many Americans are going to have to die before people start doing their jobs here?”
“Collateral damage in war is something that you have to accept, you’re going to have collateral damage. We don’t expect that we’re going to have collateral damage here in the United States, on the home front, because of their refusal to what is necessary to protect our people” she concluded.
