Monday at the White House press briefing, Josh Earnest doubled down on President Barack Obama’s statement last week that his policies are on the ballot in this November’s midterm elections.
When asked by CBS chief White House correspondent Major Garrett if the president regretted the statement Earnest said, “The short answer is no, but what the president made clear is his name is not on the ballot this fall but the president does believe there is a clear choice for voters across the country between candidates who are supportive of policies that will benefit the middle class or candidates who are supportive of those at the top in hopes those benefits will trickle down.”
