Wednesday at the House Select Committee hearing on Benghazi, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked Todd M. Keil, the former Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, if the State Department headed by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton followed security requirements in Benghazi.
Keil replied they intentionally “skirted” security standards.
Keil said, “It was a purposeful effort to skirt the standards.” He added, “When you’re not following the standards, you don’t have to follow the waiver process either.”
