Pentagon: 'Make No Mistake, We Are at War with ISIS'

After Secretary of State John Kerry and National Security Advisor Susan Rice said Thursday that the Untied States was engaged in a “counterterrorism effort” not a war, Friday both White House press secretary Josh Earnest and Pentagon spokesman John Kirby used similar language saying we are at war with ISIS in the same way we are at war with al Qaeda.

Kirby said, ‘Make no mistake, we know we are at war with ISIL in the same way we are at war and continue to be at war with al Qaeda and it’s affiliates.”
