Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rep. Tony Cardenas (D-CA) said the president’s decision to delay an executive order to grant amnesty to upwards of 5 million illegal immigrants currently living in the United States until after the mid-term elections is “frustrating,” and motivated by “politics.”
The California Democrat said, “The bottom line is of course there’s some politics going on. I don’t like what the president’s advisers may be telling him. I can only speculate that they’ve encouraged him to wait.”
Cardenas said the Latino community is “frustrated with the president, but I think they’re really pissed off with the Republican Party and what they represent.”
Cardenas insisted the blame really belongs to the “disgusting, do-nothing Congress,” saying ,”Congress not doing its job and now the president is forced to have to take a measure like executive actions.”
