Thursday, at a White House ceremony to sign the Executive Order titled “Fair Pay and Safe Workplace,” President Barack Obama criticized Republican lawmakers for being unwilling to pass his agenda.
In discussing his order which will require employers applying for federal contracts to disclose any labor law violations, Obama urged Congress to work with him to “help working families.”
“The door’s always open,” Obama said. “More than that, I’ll go to them, I’ll wash their car, walk their dog. I’m ready to work with them anytime.”
The president added, “But where they are doing nothing at all to help” and he warned “then we have to find ways as an administration to take actions that will help.”
