Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) said there should be “no dealing with the Senate on anything beyond securing the border” in an interview on Monday’s “Sean Hannity Show.”
Ryan also advocated for amending the 2008 anti-human trafficking law that illegal immigrants use to avoid deportation, and expressed support for sending the National Guard to the border. “Right now the only focus should be, no dealing with the Senate on anything beyond securing the border, the border should be the focus” he declared.
Ryan also announced that he would make a decision on a 2016 presidential run next year, and said that a recent CNN poll showing a Romney/Ryan ticket beating President Obama in a hypothetical re-match was meaningless. “It’s like $1.50 and a cup of coffee, that’s all it gets you” Ryan stated about the poll.
