NC Woman Who Made Payments Still Loses Obamacare Coverage

WECT in Wilmington, NC profiled resident Jenna Davis, who was dropped from her insurance coverage under Obamacare despite making all the needed payments. 

Davis, a full-time student who is also employed part-time, received “multiple letters and conflicting billing statements” regarding her coverage. She was still dropped even after she called Blue Cross Blue Shield and paid the remaining balance. 

Davis told WECT she “was very upset, very frustrated” and “felt slightly cheated. Like they were purposely trying to do something to keep me from having insurance.”
