Breitbart Texas Managing Editor Brandon Darby said that potentially deadly violence directed against U.S. law enforcement “a common occurrence,” and “something that happens all the time.”
In an interview on Wednesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, Darby reported that the lethal force “has to do with gang members or cartel members across the river shooting at US law enforcement… trying to draw all of the law enforcement into one specific area so that they can get a high-valued shipment across.”
Darby also stated that Brooks County, which is 90 miles away from the border, is “inundated” with illegal immigrants, and law enforcement officials there frequently “find bodies of young women who were raped and left to die in that region.”
He concluded by saying that the Texas-Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley Sector is actually “the most secure region of the US-Mexico border right now.” This means that even though the situation in Texas is dire, things in other states are probably worse.
