House Committee on Homeland Security member Rep. Peter King (R-NY) Told Newsmax TV’s J.D. Hayworth that despite Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) declaring, “Our border is secure,” yesterday he believes “our border is broken.”
King added for any kind of legislation to address the humanitarian crisis of ten of thousands of unaccompanied minors illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border you have to have a Democratic leader “that’s not in his own alternative universe.”
King said it will be difficult to make any progress on the crisis with “Harry Reid denying realty.”
