Mark Regev, the chief spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that Israeli reservists were “very close to the Gaza frontier…[and] ready to move when the order [to begin an incursion into Gaza] is given” in an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Shepard Smith Reporting” on Wednesday.
He added that he wasn’t sure if an invasion of Gaza was necessary yet, but argued that Israel must take whatever action is necessary to dismantle the “formidable terrorist military machine” of Hamas in Gaza, which he compared to Boko Haram, ISIS, and Hezbollah and that “[doesn’t] even care about the Palestinian people, if it allows them to advance their crazy radical theology.”
