Thursday at a field hearing in Texas on the surge of unaccompanied minors at the U.S.-Mexico border, Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) said his message to Obama was: “Secure this border, Mr. President.”
Perry laid out the national security risks caused by the drug cartels flooding the border with children and allowing others with known terrorists ties to “slip through.”
Perry then called for the deployment of the National Guard to the Texas border and demanded the federal government reimburse the state of Texas for the $500 million they have spent on border security.
