Rep. Chuck Rangel (D-NY) argued that Mississippi voters made the right move by nominating Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) over Chris McDaniel in an interview on CNN’s “The Lead.” Rangel stated that he thought Cochran’s victory “makes a lot of sense in view of the fact that the Tea Party is so unpredictable and actually don’t care too much about the Republican Party or the country.” He also said he had no problem with Democrats crossing over to vote in the GOP primary.
