In an ad posted on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s YouTube page on Wednesday, former NFL quarterback Brett Favre, a product of the coastal town of Kiln, MS that played college ball at the University of Southern Mississippi, came out to support incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS).

Cochran is locked into a runoff battle with Tea Party hopeful State Sen. Chris McDaniel that is set for a vote on June 24. The two first faced off in the Mississippi Republican Primary on June 3, with McDaniel having a slight edge in the results. However, without a candidate earning more than 50 percent, the contest is headed to a runoff.
