Tuesday on his nationally syndicated radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh discussed the breaking news that Ansar al-Sharia commander Ahmed Abu Khattal who is suspect in the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that killed four Americans has been captured by U.S. forces.
Limbaugh said “the news media is going berserk” over the “amazing, timely coincidence” of the terrorist’s capture. He added, “It was quite obvious this was a very timely headline given how things are falling apart in Iraq.”
Limbaugh also stated he “will not be surprised” if Khattala blamed the YouTube video that the Obama administration claims caused the terrorist attacks back in 2012. Limbaugh played a montage of Obama administration officials blaming the attack on the US consulate on a YouTube video and asked “doesn’t it follow, with all of that blame on the video, doesn’t this suspect have to say the video made him do it?” He cautioned that he wasn’t predicting this will happen, only that it wouldn’t be surprising.
