Buchanan: 'Real Possibility' Iraq Will Fracture on Ethnic, Religious Lines

Conservative columnist and political commentator Pat Buchanan raised the possibility that Iraq will be split between Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds in an interview on “The Sean Hannity Show” on Monday. He predicted that the Kurds would “hold their separate Kurdistan.”

Buchanan also doubted that ISIS would try to take Baghdad due to a lack of resources and backing of Sunnis in the west. He concluded “I do think we could see the breakup of Iraq,” which he said was a “real possibility.”
