Monday, chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee Rep Jeff Miller (R-FL) spoke with Fox News National Security Analyst K.T. McFarland on FoxNews.com’s “DefCon 3” about his inability to get answers from the Obama administration involving the turmoil surrounding the VA hospital system. Miller said the possibly of the criminal action of falsifying waiting list records caused him to inquire about potential prosecutions with Attorney General Eric Holder which to date have gone unanswered.
The Florida Republican added while he doesn’t normally support Obama’s overuse of signing statements the president should have immediately used ‘his pen” to sign an executive order allowing veterans trapped on waiting lists to seek care outside the VA system.
